Synopsis

In virtually every country in the world, Dutch alumni live with student debt. Of the more than 99,000 Dutch alumni abroad, 26,000 are untraceable by DUO. The documentary "Not My Fault" profiles two alumni abroad: Willemijn (24) and Pascal (35), and shows the impact of high student debt and the consequences of a passport block. The documentary aims to raise awareness about the psychological and social consequences of high student debt and encourage a young audience to consider taking out a student loan from DUO.
